Sulindac sulfide is the active metabolite of sulindac. Sulindac is a prodrug and does not have anti-inflammatory and analgesic activity. It is converted into metabolized sulfide after oral absorption and exerts its effects. Used for rheumatoid arthritis, arm and knee arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, bursitis, acute gout, etc.
